Shareholder, David J. Glass, and Counsel, Larry M. Carlin, worked together, on a bi-coastal case, to obtain a Hague return order for our client to return to the Ukraine with her two children. The case started when our client’s husband absconded with the two young children from Ukraine and ended up in southern California. Glass filed a Hague Convention on International Parental Child Abduction action in the Los Angeles Superior Court, but the husband learned about it and departed for New York prior to service. Then, Carlin took over, filed a Hague action in New York’s Federal Court, and after an evidentiary hearing, eventually won our client’s right to return home with her children.
